Healthy Start Community Services, Inc

A 501(c)(3) dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children and families through health, nutrition, and exercise programs in addition to education and support services.

Empowering Communities for Healthier Futures

By providing free or affordable educational, health, and recreational programs, we help youth overcome barriers and create a better future for themselves and their communities. Through strong partnerships, dedicated volunteers, and a sustainable funding model, our goal is to reach each community and leave a lasting impact for generations to come.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and/or groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Current Community Partnerships

Physical activity initiatives encourage active lifestyles through community events and partnerships with local organizations, such as the School of Hard Knocks Wrestling Program.

The School of Hard Knocks Wrestling Program, located in High Point, North Carolina, founded by wrestling Hall of Famer, Bobby Lloyd gives local youth an opportunity to improve their skills and compete.

Support services to the older community are just as important to Healthy Start. Through a partnership with Candace McCollum of Better Way Community Service in Greensboro, North Carolina, we can provide certified nursing assistants to those in need. Candace has been a healthcare provider for over ten years in the surrounding community.
